What stays with the host

Your plan, drafts, relationship labels, guest tags, private details, participation notes, recipe uploads and original photo are saved in the browser on the device you use. Relationship and participation labels and private tags are never copied to guest cards. Tags can guide the tone of suggested text on your device. Only interests you explicitly mark as okay to mention may appear in generated invitations or fortunes, which you review before sharing. Free-text private notes stay out of generated wording. Anyone who can use that browser profile may be able to open your plan.

There is no account. A private backup contains the current plan, guest notes and replies, drafts, uploaded photo and recipe files, and the key that manages its shared links. Save it somewhere private; never send it to a guest. Without that file or your original browser data, you cannot restore access yourself.

“Your evenings” keeps a local library in this browser. Starting a new evening preserves the previous one and its links. Reusing guests copies names and host notes, with fresh replies, comfort choices and cards. Each evening has its own private backup. Read conversation and game prompts are remembered on this device so new rounds can use unread ones.

What is shared

After you review a card and create its link, its approved text, evening details and any approved keepsake photo are stored on Cloudflare. A photo is processed on your device first; no paid AI service is used. Only the finished effect is uploaded. Reusing that same photo across your evening’s cards does not store another copy for each guest.

Anyone with a card link can view that card. Keep invitation links private. Link previews use a themed envelope without names or addresses. WhatsApp and email open a draft in your own app; you choose the recipient and send it there. We cannot see whether you sent it.

Guest replies

Your host can read your reply, comfort choice, food needs and note. After you reply, only your host and the browser that saved your reply can read those private details or change the reply through the companion. Someone who receives a forwarded invitation can still see the invitation, but cannot read your saved reply notes. Before a first reply, whoever has the link can submit it.

To change a reply on another device, use your original browser or contact your host. Only share food or personal details your host needs. You can skip a fortune, pass any activity and ask your host for a gentler evening.

When links close

The expiry date is shown on each shared card. Links normally stay open until 30 days after the evening, with at least 30 days from creation and a maximum of 400 days. Changing the date later does not extend existing links. Expired links stop opening immediately; stored expired records are removed as the service handles later requests.

The host can remove a guest to close their cards, or delete the evening from “Your evenings” to remove all its shared cards, photos and replies. Copies already saved or forwarded by recipients cannot be recalled. Local browser data remains until the host deletes the evening or clears it.

For invitations, fortunes and thank-you notes, the service keeps a hash of previously published wording to avoid publishing the same wording again. It also uses a short-lived, daily hash of the request’s IP address to limit misuse. These are not displayed to guests.

If something goes wrong

If a link has closed, ask your host for a fresh one. If sharing is temporarily unavailable, your browser draft can still be saved or printed. For companion help, email [email protected].
